Community Outreach
Community outreach is an important aspect of St. Margaret’s Anglican Church’s mission in Woodville. Recognizing the vital role that churches play beyond their spiritual functions, St. Margaret’s has committed itself to fostering a sense of togetherness and support within the local community. Through various outreach programs and initiatives, the church extends its hand to those in need, regardless of their background or beliefs and also reinforces the values of empathy, kindness, and solidarity for all.
Communion
Our Pastoral Care Team are able to provide Home Communion to sick and elderly parishioners who are either unable to attend Sunday or Wednesday services, or reside in our local Nursing Homes. This ministry extends beyond sacramental care, providing support during challenging times and fostering connections through shared prayer and companionship. “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
Prayer Circle
The Prayer Circle is a devoted community group at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, exemplifying communal support through consistent prayers for members’ well-being and warmly embracing new requests under the Prayer Co-coordinator’s guidance. “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
Community Lunch
Once a month St Margaret’s hosts a Community Lunch in the Hall. Anglicare Brompton residents often attend, and anyone from our community is also welcome to join us.
Community Pantry
We have a Community Pantry in front of our Hall. It’s a place that those in need from the local community can often find things to eat. Donations are regularly added to the pantry, and often collected just as fast.
